Building an encrypted calendar is at the top of our to-do list right now as we desperately need a solution to schedule and share calendar entries securely ourselves. However, first, we have to finish the new client to push it our of beta and update the Tutanota Android and iOS apps so that you can use your encrypted mailbox with very good speeds and many more features on all your devices. Once we are done with that, we will build the encrypted calendar.
Thank you very much for your continuous support.
Any update on the calendar?
While I love your vision, the app, and the improvements over the years, one area in which you tend to perform poorly is setting expectations. I would much rather hear, "Calendar in another 1.5 years" rather than being told "in the next 6 months" every 6 months.
Is there any updated time frame on when the calendar should be released?
As the first half of 2018 gets closer to ending, do we have an update or estimated timeline on the calendar?
This is a major feature that my family and I are looking for. It is one of the major sticking points for us as we'd have to resort to another provider or app to gain this functionality back.
We use the browsers print option: Just press CTRL+P to print the currently selected mail. Have you tried that?
Any update on this? When I print through the new interface (https://mail.tutanota.com/mail), it prints the left hand pane but not the actual highlighted email.
And I find it interesting that you're pushing to get people away from the Big Brother Google, and yet you're suggesting people use Chrome. I don't use Chrome, so that's not an option for me.
A cleaner Print interface is something we should have this far along.
We are happy to inform you that we have started to build desktop applications for OS X, Linux and Windows. Desktop clients will enable you to import emails to your encrypted Tutanota mailbox as well as give you offline access. Building desktop clients is an extensive project, so we cannot give an exact ETA.
