      VPN epinator might have been blacklisted by us if it has been abused for spamming. You can also sign up via TOR or without a VPN.

                It’s as the FAQ states: We don’t log IPs. If we are presented with a German court order, only then do we log the IPs of the account concerned.

                Tutanota is made for protecting all users against illegal mass surveillance. However, it is not a safe haven for suspected criminals.

                @Anonymous: We never manipulate anthing (e.g. you mentioned spyware). Code manipulations are criminal acts in Germany and no authority can force you to implement backdoors or spyware.

                It makes no sense to handle the question "do you log IPs" without any context.

                There are laws that force service providers to store IPs in certain cases all over the world. However, there are large legal obstacles in Germany: If you are a police officer or a prosecutor and want us to store a single IP address, you need a German court order. See https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/transparency-report for more details on how many requests we receive and deny.

                We only store the IPs of a single user in case of a German court order. We never store IPs of other users which is exactly what other mail providers do (most of them store ALL IPs of ALL users!).

                  Thank you all for your feedback. Please let us explain in more detail why we don’t plan to add pgp-support at the moment:

                  Current encryption standards like pgp and S/MIME have several issue that we plan to address with Tutanota. These standards do not support forward secrecy and are not resistant to attacks from quantum computers.

                  In addition, it is important to us that the subject line in emails is also encrypted. That’s why we have developed a solution that is also based on recognized algorithms (RSA and AES) and that automatically encrypts the subject, the content and the attachments. In the future, we plan to upgrade these algorithms to quantum-resistant ones that also support forward secrecy.

                  We also see the importance that Tutanota needs to be interoperable with other encryption solutions. We will develop an API so that Tutanota users can communicate with users of other…

                        Thanks for requesting a feature for further improving the security of Tutanota! We currently use TLS and DANE to protect authentication and integrity data and (only tunneled) RSA and AES to provide additional confidentiality. Neither the confidentiality nor the integrity of your data is currently at risk. In order to increase the security of Tutanota even further, we will implement digital signatures soon.

                          You must have enabled the second factor before in your login settings. Just provide the token from the authenticator app you used or your U2F device to login.

                          If you think you lost your password, please make sure that you are using the correct domain when logging in (plus no upper case, spelling mistakes in email address/password). This is often the problem.

                          Of course a "normal" password reset is not possible. But we have thought about a way to configure another Tuanota user you trust and let that user reset your password. Still, we do not have finally decided about this.

                            Dear Mandy,
                            you can receive cragslist mails from your Tutanota account and we actively tested this out. We never delete mails silently. Mails are either delivered to the inboxes of our users (check your SPAM folder!) or rejected.

                              Come on guys! We are working very hard to bring forward Tutanota as much as possible and this will be one of the next stories that we implement.

                              We have come a long way since our first release (see https://github.com/tutao/tutanota/releases) and completely re-implemented our client throughout this year. We implemented search on encrypted data (will be released next week), full synchronization across devices and many more features for business customers (that are currently not visible for all of us).

                              We always want to deliver as fast as possible but we also want a high quality. It will take some more years till Tutanota is where we expect it to be. But the calendar is definitely one of the next things that we implement! :-)

                                  You will not receive more than two invoices a month. Actually, this is a feature to prevent mass-billings for larger customers. It could be adapted for smaller customers, if there is a large demand for this.

                                      In Chrome you can print the email one by one as a pdf, but this can only be a work-around until we implement a better option.
