Interaction with other secure email providers
There have been many secure email providers showing up recently. If we end up with many duplicate encrypted mail services that can't securely communicate with each other, then the world is no better off.
Please cooperate with those to support secure emails between users. All encrypted email providers need to cooperate to make sure they are inter-operable.
Colin, yeah! DIME / Dark Mail Alliance!

yes please work with proton mail to enable end to end encrypted messages between services
Now that would be a must... A network of secure providers. ..but I would step very carefully to this.. ..anyway, great idea.
Please Techné, don't forget openmailbox.org from Pierre. He already has PGP integration :D
An alliance of free email provider would be amazing.
Thanks for the effort!

Thank you for your message and support. At this moment we are putting all of our limited resources to building the best private email system. We also are certainly not apposed to joining such a network that promotes Privacy. This includes encrypted connection between Tutanota, as long as the tech is tested and works.

Not now... But I believe this could be possible in next 2 or 3 years... For now, Tutanota and ProtonMail have another important chalanges (as create a basic features as, for example, to create folders.)
About Folders: Folders will be released on February 29t in Tutanota.

Another consideration for interoperability would be the dark mail alliance: https://darkmail.info

Thank you for your request. We want to make Tutanota interoperable with pgp as well as other secure email providers. We have started a project on github recently: https://github.com/intermail/api/wiki
We would be happy about every provider joining us.
