Building an encrypted calendar is at the top of our to-do list right now as we desperately need a solution to schedule and share calendar entries securely ourselves. However, first, we have to finish the new client to push it our of beta and update the Tutanota Android and iOS apps so that you can use your encrypted mailbox with very good speeds and many more features on all your devices. Once we are done with that, we will build the encrypted calendar.

Thank you very much for your continuous support.

There are any news about the Tutanota Calendar?
I'm waiting for it, and I think there are more people espectant.
In my case, my decision to become a premium customer depend on that.

Calendar is DESPERATELY needed. But only a month remains "in the 1st half of 2018". Is this still an up-to-date commitment from Tutanota, or will the calendar be delayed yet AGAIN?

I (we - my business) desperately need a searchable calendar to run the business. If this was offered, I'd pay €5/month, no problem.

For the person who wants something similar to Google Keep below: Try Turtl (open source, encrypted), Inkdrop (encrypted) or Boostnote (local, open source, sync how you like).

Don't just make Calendar a Premium feature.

Hi there. I understand that you guys need all the help you get. But not everybody can afford that. And most of the Premium features are perfect for Business, I assume.

along with your encrypted calendar , will you be setting up a feature like google keep, to jot down notes etc? it would be nice for me to avoid using google altogether

As the first half of 2018 gets closer to ending, do we have an update or estimated timeline on the calendar?

      • Marta commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

        Please include the following features:
        - abilty to subscribe to other calendars published online
        - search: I need to know when I last met a customer / went to a meeting on a specific topic, etc.

The email search is an excellent feature, especially for encrypted stuff. So please reproduce this for the calendar function. Thanks!

I am very happy with the email client, and exceptionally happy with the perspective of the calendar being implemented. I am ashamed to live in a society where people are that self-absorbed that they don't bother to read or care about the fine details, and instead hand over their - and in the process, everyone else's - rights to privacy by their blatant stupidity. It is people who design this email who I am grateful for who are around. I was amazed to hear that Google's former slogan was "Don't be evil", when they are now an evil company, by mass-stalking and spying on society, and selling/giving away their information/data. The reason they have that slogan appears to be that they don't want any competition in the "evil" department. It is sad, as a lot of their services are good, but this prostitution of their people is horrid. There should be a mass effort to follow Google executives around as a crowd, with everyone calling out down the line everything they are doing..."He's in the toilet!...She didn't wash her hands!"...and when asked what they are doing (all 100 000 of them), they can respond "It's okay, we don't do anything with the data we've collected".

So top marks for providing an email service that isn't a spy laboratory for dummies, and others who are tricked into it by sneaky agreements that force our children into a so-called education brainwashing system that makes them have to have one of these spyware company products to ruin their lives on from junior school. You are worth more money than the products you provide, and I'm sorry I don't have much of it yet.

Looking forward to the calendar . I’ll upgrade my email. As soon as I figure out how.

YAYY. One of the first things I really wanted back in 2002 when someone stole my hard copy calendar off the wall of an office that I worked in. Just after nine eleven coworkers started acting strange.

Years later and the start of a written book with lists of things that followed these and the knowledge of many more with similar stories, privacy has become a sort of obsession for me. With all that happens daily in our world, one would think this topic should be a top priority.

Seems I am always on the dance floor alone for awhile till the rest of the crowd comes to dance. This is no different. Soon it will be a crowded dance floor using encrypted sources, calendar and all. Future generations will know nothing less. Thanks Tutanota.

Come on guys! We are working very hard to bring forward Tutanota as much as possible and this will be one of the next stories that we implement.

We have come a long way since our first release (see https://github.com/tutao/tutanota/releases) and completely re-implemented our client throughout this year. We implemented search on encrypted data (will be released next week), full synchronization across devices and many more features for business customers (that are currently not visible for all of us).

We always want to deliver as fast as possible but we also want a high quality. It will take some more years till Tutanota is where we expect it to be. But the calendar is definitely one of the next things that we implement! :-)

You guys have been pushing off the calendar for YEARS. Many of us already have donated, pay for premium accounts, and have aliases. It's clear that employing more developers is not really going to help. Otherwise, we would have had the calendar years ago. Is this feature ACTUALLY coming? I've been ready to switch back to Exchange as a calendar is just TOO essential for our family.

I agree with pathetic. Just say you are not planing to release calendar. This is just dragging forever and I'm losing confidence in tutanota.

It was same thing with ***** theme.. but that's off topic.

This is pathetic. First it was planned for the 2nd half of 2016, then first half of 2017, then second half of 2017 and now first half of 2018. If you don't know when, just fucking say that you don't have an ETA.
