Scryptmail has implemented this feature. This means that they don't keep unencrypted copies of the titles of the messages, or the e-mail adresses of the people you correspond with.
Considering this service doesn't support POP3 or IMAP, why not implement this as well? I don't think a service which could hand over a list of everyone you correspond with to the authorities is really keen on privacy.42 votes
We plan to hide the metadata. We already encrypt the subject and strip ip addresses from emails. However the email address itself can’t be easily hidden as it is needed to deliver the mail.
I don't mean the official F-Droid repository described here https://tutanota.uservoice.com/forums/237921-general/suggestions/6891427-add-to-f-droid-repository, I mean create a new one so that I can add it myself, like what tox does, https://repo.tox.im/android/ . Thanks.45 votes
Please allow display of the email address (and not just the person's name) in the TO: section.
It is NOT helpful to just have a person's name displayed in the TO: section when composing emails. Sometimes people have more than one email address and displaying just the name can lead to sending emails to the wrong address. I need to be able to verify I am sending where I think I am sending.17 votes
Currently data is not synched between different devices. E.g. when deleting an email in one device it is not deleted on another device and errors may occur when accessing deleted data.
Changes should be automatically synched to all devices.47 votes
Currently when you log in to Tutanota, you have to enter your entire email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
It would be nice to only have to enter one's username, since it's a given that everyone is @tutanota.de anyway.13 votes
We want to create an optional system for login without email address: https://tutanota.uservoice.com/forums/237921-general/suggestions/8258685-enhance-login-security
You should support left bound emails in order to write also in Hebrew, otherwise Tutanota isn't useful for me. Gmail has no problems with other languages and support of emojis.28 votes
the Arabic translation has been completed so we plan to add RTL support as soon as possible. As we have lots of feature requests on our to-do list for the coming months, we cannot give a specific ETA just yet.
If you know anyone who can code and would like to get this done faster, this would be awesome. Here’s the code for a pull request: https://github.com/tutao/tutanota
Thank you very much!
